Disclaimers

Effective Date: March 18, 2026  ·  Last Updated: March 18, 2026

The following disclaimers apply to all services, content, and materials provided by AethosTrusts LLC ("AethosTrust," "we," "us," or "our") through our website, platform, intake tools, and educational resources. Please read these disclaimers carefully before using our Services.

1. Not a Law Firm

AethosTrust is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal services of any kind.

AethosTrusts LLC is an estate planning education and relationship management company. Our role is to educate you about trusts and estate planning, guide you through an intake process, and connect you with a licensed estate planning attorney in your state.

We do not:

  • Practice law or provide legal advice
  • Draft, review, or execute legal documents
  • Represent you in any legal matter
  • Make legal recommendations specific to your situation
  • Establish an attorney-client relationship with you

All legal services — including the drafting, review, and execution of your estate plan — are performed exclusively by independent, licensed estate planning attorneys. The attorney-client relationship exists solely between you and your assigned attorney.

2. Attorney Relationship

Attorneys in the AethosTrust network are independent legal professionals, not employees, agents, or representatives of AethosTrust. Specifically:

  • Each attorney is independently licensed in the state(s) where they practice
  • AethosTrust does not supervise, direct, or control the legal work performed by any attorney
  • AethosTrust does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, completeness, or outcome of any legal services
  • Any malpractice, dispute, or grievance related to legal services must be addressed directly with the attorney and/or the appropriate state bar association
  • Attorney fees are separate from AethosTrust fees and are agreed upon directly between you and the attorney

3. Educational Content

The educational materials, articles, quizzes, scenarios, and other content on our platform are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. This content:

  • Does not constitute legal, tax, financial, or professional advice
  • Should not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional
  • May not reflect the specific laws of your state or jurisdiction
  • May become outdated as laws and regulations change

Always consult with a licensed attorney or qualified professional before making decisions about your estate plan, trusts, or related matters.

4. No Guarantee of Results

AethosTrust does not guarantee any specific outcome or result from using our Services, including but not limited to:

  • Tax savings or avoidance of any particular tax liability
  • Avoidance of probate in any specific case
  • Protection of assets from creditors, lawsuits, or other claims
  • The enforceability or validity of any estate plan in any jurisdiction
  • The suitability of a trust or any particular estate planning structure for your situation

Estate planning outcomes depend on many factors specific to your individual circumstances, including applicable state and federal laws, the nature of your assets, your family situation, and the quality of legal counsel. Results will vary.

5. Pricing and Statistics

Pricing information, cost comparisons, and statistics displayed on our platform (including comparisons of trust costs vs. probate costs) are provided for illustrative purposes only and are based on publicly available data from sources such as the American Bar Association, Caring.com, AARP, and the U.S. Social Security Administration.

Actual costs, timelines, and outcomes may vary significantly based on:

  • Your state's specific probate laws and court fees
  • The size and complexity of your estate
  • Attorney fees in your jurisdiction
  • Whether your estate plan is properly funded and maintained

AethosTrust pricing reflects our platform fees only and does not include attorney fees, court costs, or other third-party expenses.

6. Geographic Limitations

AethosTrust currently serves residents of the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and New York only. We do not provide services to residents of other states. Estate planning laws vary significantly by state, and the information on our platform may not apply to jurisdictions outside our service area.

If you reside outside our service area, we recommend consulting a licensed estate planning attorney in your state.

7. AI-Powered Intake Tool

Our intake questionnaire uses technology-assisted tools to organize and structure your responses for attorney review. The intake tool:

  • Does not provide legal advice or legal analysis
  • Does not make legal recommendations
  • Is not a substitute for a consultation with a licensed attorney
  • Serves as a data collection and organization tool only

Your intake responses are reviewed and acted upon by a licensed attorney, not by automated systems. The attorney makes all legal determinations and decisions regarding your estate plan.

8. Third-Party Content and Links

Our platform may reference or link to third-party websites, tools, or resources. AethosTrust does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, accuracy, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party site. Access to third-party sites is at your own risk.

9. Testimonials and Case Studies

Any testimonials, success stories, or case studies that may appear on our platform represent the individual experiences of specific users and are not intended as a guarantee of similar results. Your experience may differ materially based on your individual circumstances.

10. Data and Privacy

While we implement commercially reasonable security measures, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your data.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AethosTrusts LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on our Services, educational content, or any attorney services facilitated through our platform.

12. Regulatory Compliance

AethosTrust operates in compliance with applicable federal and state laws, including consumer protection laws in the jurisdictions we serve. We are not regulated as a law firm, insurance agency, financial advisory firm, or investment adviser. Our services are limited to education, intake facilitation, and attorney referral.
